Ya so that’s some Wind Ensemble music right there. Hazzah! I’m feeling the groove again, writing music. That is always terrific. Good stuff.

Yesterday was a wonderful time working with Tromboner Jeff Smith. That was great. He asked me to write him a trombone sonata and you know what? It’s starting to come out quite nicely. I even played the piano part yesterday? I know right, can you believe it? With my piano chops? Sigh…so terrible. Anyways, that was just a ton of fun to get to make music again. So that’s exciting. I’m adding that date to the concert list right now, so be at that premier! Also I’m booking a show in Connecticut really soon. My goal is for a March and April concert. I’ll let you know how it goes. It’s going to feature lots of fun things and friends. I’m trying to get a work by John Van Geem up there to, it would be great to hear his music again.

Hey so Mike B was talking to be about Bluegrass music, and if you like that…and indie…jazzy…check out Laura Grill. I knew her back in Chicago, she’s phenomenal.

Enjoy that, ’cause she’s rad.

I got on board with Finale 2012. I’m discovering all of these fun new things. So far I like it. I can’t explain how amazing it is to drag my staves down and not run into everything. That’s fricken delicious. It’s a lot easier on the eyes which is nice. Especially since I spend hours staring at these computer screens, it’s nice. I’m still trying to work out my own design for things. I really want an octave adjustment hotkey. So bad…

Lastly in the news…I still have this Itunes gift card…I don’t know what to use it on…ideas?
